Domaine Myrsini

Former chef and trained viticulturist and oenologist Nicolas Bourget, fell in love with Paros island and moved here from France, with his wife Marie Astrid and their children. In their small, newly built winery, they just produced their first four labels from crawling vines (“aplotaria”) of local varieties, following natural practices. With absolute meticulousness they produce wines that perfectly combine the expression of the rugged landscape of Paros, with French elegance.

Paros is located in the center of the Cycladic island cluster, and is one of the most famous destinations, together with Mykonos and Santorini. Paros is known for its magnificent natural beauty, endless beaches, and crystal clear waters. In antiquity, it was famous for its white marble, the “Parian Stone”, which was used in many historical architectural monuments and sculptures of classical Greece. On Parian marble, whose clarity makes it almost transparent, were sculpted some of the most famous works of art of antiquity, such as Hermes of Praxitelis, Aphrodite of Milos, Nike of Samothrace, Nike of Paionios, and the famous Caryatics of the Acropolis Erechtheion.
